Savendale was set up by managing director and founder Ian Burrell to provide private client solicitors with market-leading insurance products supported by unrivalled industry experience and expertise.
Ian has more than 45 years’ experience in the insurance industry. Over the last 10 years, he has had particular involvement with private client solicitors. In forming Savendale Insurance Services, he is pleased to be able to bring a range of products and services to this marketplace and delighted to launch the company in a partnership with CLS Property Insight to provide Executry and Guardianship Bonds.
Roy has extensive experience in insurance and worked for a composite insurer and two Lloyd’s syndicates before setting up his own underwriting agency, which merged with CLS in 2016. He sourced capacity within the London market to launch Bonds of Caution for CLS in 2016. He has been involved in designing and underwriting innovative products and produces bespoke wordings to respond to a variety of requests.
As Underwriting Manager, Chantelle has been in charge of the Executry offering since January 2019, during which time CLS’s speed of service has been greatly appreciated by the solicitors who use our products. Chantelle oversees the team of four people who service enquiries and ensure that signed bonds are issued as speedily as possible.
Having been involved in the bond market for nearly 20 years, Roy brings a wealth of knowledge and experience as Lead Underwriter to the CLS suite of insurance and search products. Heading up the underwriting team in Kent, Roy has responsibility for both Executry and Legal Indemnity products.
Having worked at CLS since 2014, Ellie works across the whole product set of CLS Property Insight. Based in the Kent office, Ellie started as a Client Services Administrator, dealing directly with clients to assist website enquiries, and has progressed through the firm to become an Underwriter. Ellie is a key contact for Bonds of Caution enquiries.
Lauren joined CLS in 2019 and has progressed to the position of Trainee Underwriter. While dealing with a range of products, Lauren is heavily involved in the writing of bonds of caution and supervises the team that deals with both applications and the completion of the bond forms. Lauren is a key contact and liaises with solicitors on a daily basis.
